I’ve done a few deals with Julie and Rob Haroun of SIR Development and am constantly impressed with their design, style, quality, and ability to resolve any issues that arise. When I started selling real estate in Westport, Julie drove me around to make sure I fully understood the town and the areas. SIR Development has their own design team which takes the stress away from the buyer. They are the consummate professionals and I would sell another house of theirs in a heartbeat.

We moved into our house in May 2016, and the experience we had with SIR was great. Due to the constant communication and wonderful people, we had a minimal punch list upon closing. Our independent inspector went through the house and gave excellent grades for everything. Overall we are very happy and expect to spend many years in our new home. We are thrilled!

We are celebrating the first anniversary of our new home and we are delighted with it. SIR delivered exceptional craftsmanship, fresh design and timeless appeal. While we have purchased new construction several times, our experience with Rob and Julie and their team stands out. We appreciate their professionalism and quality.

We bought our SIR house 3 years ago and had a great experience working with Rob and Julie Haroun, who delivered our house fully complete a week prior to close. They helped us find the perfect land and handled everything from initial negotiations, to construction, to closing with complete integrity. While there were a few minor issues that popped up during the first few months, the SIR team handled all the repairs without question in a timely manner.

I own a local mortgage lending firm and have had the opportunity to get to know Robert Haroun of SIR Development. I have co-sponsored many of his new construction home open houses and have discussed his work with potential buyers as well as many in the real estate community. His homes sell because of fine craftsmanship, exceptional taste, and their desire to satisfy the client(s). SIR is a popular name in the local area for a reason, they produce a great product!

We are so pleased with all aspects of our house purchase and the post move-in experience with our new home on Old Orchard Road. It was a really enjoyable experience throughout and I felt all the various people at SIR worked with us and listened really well to any ideas or issues as they came up. Rob and Julie were very flexible with us and worked with us to add extras to get the house exactly as we wanted it – including attic bedroom suite for our son and an outdoor room which wasn’t on the original plans. All members of the team went more than an extra mile to make sure we got exactly what we wanted in terms of design, build quality, several changes to the floor plans and with all aspects of the design choices. The SIR Team was fantastic to work with and was very proactive with ideas and wouldn’t stop until we were 100% happy with all the choices and the smallest of details…We really wanted to personalize the house with feature lighting and extras in the playrooms and bedrooms. We wanted to do this prior to moving in and SIR made it happen…Marc made the overall project management look easy. It took all the stress out of the process and he just got things done and if we were not happy with something he resolved it very quickly to our full satisfaction. Finally, Mike worked really hard with us on the outside planning, lighting and landscaping and has been very diligent in always following up with us. We didn’t want to move into a house with a nice lawn and nothing else. He worked closely with us to ensure we got aspects of walls, fencing, gates and patios just as we wanted. We ended up spending a decent amount on extras and are very pleased with all that we paid for. SIR wasn’t interested in selling a cookie-cutter 6 bedroom house as quickly as they could. They went at our pace and worked so closely with us to ensure that we got all the detail and personalization that we will enjoy for years to come. This level of personal service was something I have never experienced when buying a new house (and this is our fourth new build). This process was very different to anything we had experienced before. Other builders have said, “we can’t do that” or “that won’t work” or “it’s too late to change that”. SIR, found solutions to what we wanted and helped us turn a great house in to a truly fantastic house. We couldn’t be more pleased and we couldn’t recommend them more highly.

After viewing over 50 homes in the area, including many new builds by high end developers in Westport, we selected a SIR Signature Home. From the design of the house, the quality of the construction and the attention to details, the SIR home was far superior to the other houses we saw. We knew we were in great shape when our home inspector gave us a glowing report on the house which was not surprising given SIR’s reputation for excellent quality and service. Almost as important as the quality of the house, dealing with the SIR team has been a pleasure- we quickly signed a contract and closed in less than a month during the holidays! SIR went above and beyond to get the house ready for us and our toddler in what seemed like no time and made our move in as smooth as possible. All questions- even questions about the neighborhood or pediatrician recommendations- were promptly answered! We couldn’t be happier with the house or the team who built it and we highly recommend SIR to anyone looking for a great house in the area.

We absolutely love our new home. The quality of construction and the design choices you all made are outstanding and we have received a lot of compliments from neighbors, friends, and people who stop their cars and tell us how beautiful it is.

We moved into our SIR home around 9 months ago and are delighted with our experience. The floor plan attracted us to the home in the first place, we love the open aspects of the rooms and the light airy feel even on overcast days. It’s been helpful to have the 1 year warranty and we appreciate that Rob and Julie don’t take a ‘nickel and dime’ approach to fixing things (even damage that has been caused by us!). The welcome binder with all the information on sub contractors has been very helpful and Julie has also been kind enough to recommend other vendors that have delivered great service. We would certainly recommend a SIR home to others and we hope that you will be as happy as we are in our beautiful home.

We couldn’t have been more satisfied with SIR’s post closing warranty service. Moving from out of town and having a new born in the house, we were relieved to know that SIR was standing 100% behind us. All we had to do was email Steph, the admin, or SIR’s dedicated “post closing” Project Manager and the SIR response team was underway to answer all questions and to coordinate the odd warranty issues that normally arise with a new home. Way to go SIR.

When we were looking for a house in Westport, moving from Texas, we were a little skeptical of finding a good local builder in town. However, we would like to compliment SIR Development for their excellent workmanship and working relationship that they provided in building our home on Pumpkin Hill Road. SIR’s prompt and fair response to all issues made this home purchase experience the best that we have ever had. It was an enjoyable, joint project with expert advice from Rob Haroun and his team. The quality of workmanship and design was excellent, but most importantly they met the time line that was agreed upon. We appreciated SIR’s helpful suggestions as well as its timely response to our questions or requests. We thoroughly enjoy our new home and would recommend SIR to any prospective new customers. We purchased our SIR home in 2008 and moved to London for business a year later. Kept in contact with Rob Haroun and his team about maintenance questions while we rented our home hoping to return to the US. As it turned out we ended up staying in London and listed our home for sale with Julie Haroun of Westport Residential. The house sold in 5 days at very close to our asking price! Many thanks to both Julie and Rob for all their help and hard work! It was a real pleasure working with them and thanks for the speed in which they managed to complete the transaction. We loved our SIR Development home and would only buy a SIR Development home if we moved back to Westport. It is a shame that SIR doesn’t operate in the UK!

When we decided to build a new home, we did a lot of research on the local builders. SIR was regularly mentioned as one of the best. After seeing the quality of their workmanship we reached out to them. We had a terrific no pressure meeting to help us better understand what was involved in building a house. After meeting Rob and Julie we decided there was no other choice for us. Our house was built on schedule and on budget. There were no games played – there were no surprises. Rob and Julie took the time to explain each step of the process at the outset. We had regular meetings to discuss the progress to keep us informed. Our expectations were exceeded in every way. We now have an amazing home and new friends in the Harouns. I would not hesitate to recommend SIR to anyone looking for a new home.

We are going on our fifth year living in an SIR home and absolutely love it. In addition to living in a fantastic house, we have also enjoyed our ongoing relationship with SIR well beyond the warranty period. It is nice to know that when a question arises, all that we have to do is email Rob, Julie or Steph and they get back to us with a quick response or the name of a reliable sub.
