Annie Haroun
Managing Director
Annie Haroun joined SIR Development after years in the corporate world at PepsiCo. A Westport native and graduate of Staples High School, Annie earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Although Annie’s professional career began outside the family business, SIR Development and real estate had been part of her life for as long as she could remember. Growing up, she frequently accompanied her father, Robert Haroun, to job sites, gaining an early appreciation for the hands-on nature of development and construction. She also worked with her mother, Julie Haroun, helping to identify and scope out new projects. Real estate and development were a constant part of family life—discussed around the dinner table and absorbed almost by osmosis. As a result, Annie came to SIR with a familiarity and understanding of the business that had been developing naturally throughout her life.
When Annie officially joined SIR Development, she worked closely with her father while bringing her own professional experience and perspective to the company. Her role gave her the opportunity to build upon the foundation she had gained growing up, while developing hands-on expertise in property development, construction, leasing, project management, and the day-to-day operations of the family business.
Following Robert’s passing in 2026, Annie assumed leadership of SIR Development’s daily operations. As Managing Director, she oversees the company’s development and construction activities, works closely with its experienced in-house team, and leads each project from acquisition through completion.
Annie brings to her role a unique combination of business experience, lifelong knowledge of real estate and development, and a deep understanding of Westport and the community SIR has served for decades. She is committed to carrying forward the standards, values, and dedication to quality established by her parents, while bringing her own energy, perspective, and vision to the next chapter of SIR Development.
