We bought our SIR house 3 years ago and had a great experience working with Rob and Julie Haroun, who delivered our house fully complete a week prior to close. They helped us find the perfect land and handled everything from initial negotiations, to construction, to closing with complete integrity. While there were a few minor issues that popped up during the first few months, the SIR team handled all the repairs without question in a timely manner.

We moved into our SIR home around 9 months ago and are delighted with our experience. The floor plan attracted us to the home in the first place, we love the open aspects of the rooms and the light airy feel even on overcast days. It’s been helpful to have the 1 year warranty and we appreciate that Rob and Julie don’t take a ‘nickel and dime’ approach to fixing things (even damage that has been caused by us!). The welcome binder with all the information on sub contractors has been very helpful and Julie has also been kind enough to recommend other vendors that have delivered great service. We couldn’t have been more satisfied with SIR’s post closing warranty service. Moving from out of town and having a new born in the house, we were relieved to know that SIR was standing 100% behind us. All we had to do was email Steph, the admin, or SIR’s dedicated “post closing” Project Manager and the SIR response team was underway to answer all questions and to coordinate the odd warranty issues that normally arise with a new home. Way to go SIR.
When we were looking for a house in Westport, moving from Texas, we were a little skeptical of finding a good local builder in town. However, we would like to compliment SIR Development for their excellent workmanship and working relationship that they provided in building our home on Pumpkin Hill Road. We purchased our SIR home in 2008 and moved to London for business a year later. Kept in contact with Rob Haroun and his team about maintenance questions while we rented our home hoping to return to the US. As it turned out we ended up staying in London and listed our home for sale with Julie Haroun of Westport Residential. The house sold in 5 days at very close to our asking price! Many thanks to both Julie and Rob for all their help and hard work! It was a real pleasure working with them and thanks for the speed in which they managed to complete the transaction. We loved our SIR Development home and would only buy a SIR Development home if we moved back to Westport. It is a shame that SIR doesn’t operate in the UK!

When we decided to build a new home, we did a lot of research on the local builders. SIR was regularly mentioned as one of the best. After seeing the quality of their workmanship we reached out to them. We had a terrific no pressure meeting to help us better understand what was involved in building a house. After meeting Rob and Julie we decided there was no other choice for us. Our house was built on schedule and on budget. There were no games played – there were no surprises. Rob and Julie took the time to explain each step of the process at the outset. We had regular meetings to discuss the progress to keep us informed. Our expectations were exceeded in every way. We now have an amazing home and new friends in the Harouns. I would not hesitate to recommend SIR to anyone looking for a new home.
