Robert Haroun

A mechanical engineer with a passion for homebuilding, Rob founded SIR Development in 1993. Rob graduated from New York Law School in 1989 and is a founding partner of Sofer & Haroun LLP, an intellectual property law firm based in Manhattan. His dual expertise in engineering and law uniquely positions him to navigate the complexities of real estate development while delivering innovative solutions to his buyers/tenants.

Since 1993, SIR Development has built over 300 exceptional homes in Fairfield County, establishing itself as a leader in high-quality premier residential construction. SIR has also built luxury multifamily rentals, 1480 Post, and developed several commercial multi use buildings including the Old Westport Town Hall that houses two exceptional Westport Restaurants.

As a resident of Westport for over 30 years, Rob is deeply committed to giving back to his community. He served as chair of the building committee for the $20 million Westport Library transformation project, contributing countless hours to its successful completion. Additionally, he chaired the property management committee for the $28 million Westport YMCA renovation project. Rob’s dedication to community engagement and his local roots reinforce his understanding that homeowners value a builder who is not only a real estate expert but also a committed neighbor.
